The official selection for the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), known as Indian Panorama 2023, has been announced. The festival will take place in Goa from 20th to 28th November 2023.
The careful selection process involves highly respected individuals from India's film industry, including Twelve Jury members for feature films and Six for non-feature films. These individuals, guided by their respective Chairpersons, utilize their expertise to curate a collection that represents the rich diversity of Indian cinema.
In the category of feature films, a total of 25 exceptional works have been carefully selected from a diverse collection of 408 contemporary Indian feature films. These chosen films truly showcase the immense vibrancy and cultural richness found within the Indian film industry, incorporating a wide range of languages and captivating themes.
A selection of 20 films has been carefully chosen from a pool of 239 contemporary Indian non-feature films for the non-feature films category. This collection highlights the immense talent and commitment of both emerging and established filmmakers in capturing, exploring, captivating, and portraying present-day Indian values.
The esteemed opening film for Indian Panorama 2023 is 'Aattam,' skillfully directed by Anand Ekarshi, while the non-feature film section will commence with 'Andro Dreams (Manipuri),' brilliantly directed by Longjam Meena Devi.
