The 25th edition of the Vintage & Classic Car Exhibition & Drive brought together over 120 historic vehicles and their passionate owners at the iconic Jai Mahal Palace in Jaipur on February 24th and 25th. This annual event is a testament to India's rich automotive history and the dedication of car collectors and enthusiasts.The event was officially launched by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Jaipur's Police Commissioner, Biju Joseph.
Honouring Guests and Celebrating History
The event was graced by the presence of Diya Kumari, Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister, who has been a staunch supporter of the event. Shrivardhan Kanoria, the "Rolls Royce King of India" and founding president of the Eastern India Motoring Group, along with S.B Jattii, the "Mustang King of India," also added their esteemed presence.

A special collage showcased the evolution of these 120 cars over the years, transporting visitors on a nostalgic journey through automotive history. Each participant brought their own unique story and passion for these meticulously maintained vehicles.
A Rigorous Judging Process
To ensure fairness and highlight the diverse collection, a unique judging criterion was employed. Each car was meticulously assessed for its cosmetic and mechanical condition, originality, restoration, provenance, maintenance, ownership experience, and authenticity. This thorough evaluation ensured that each award recognised the dedication and expertise of the owners.
Passionate Participants Share Their Stories
Our Vygr correspondent Saksham Agarwal, visited the event, which featured several notable participants, including Mohammad, a dedicated collector, restorer, and maintainer of classic cars. He presented a collection representing the company he worked for, showcasing the historical significance of these vehicles beyond individual ownership.
Regular participant, Ranjit Malik, and local enthusiast Faiz shared their experiences. Faiz described the joy of classic car ownership, emphasizing the importance of regular maintenance and the camaraderie found in car clubs. He highlighted the importance of keeping these vehicles running, not just for show, but to preserve their functionality and heritage.
