Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) hosted a Cold Chain Conference on the 11th of August.
ASSOCHAM is an organization that works to bring attention to and speak about various important topics and discussions related to India and its future. The objective of this conference was to discuss cold chain infrastructure development, cold chain logistic. The & warehousing facilities with digital transformation, strategies to strengthen the Pharma sector & Agri-food processing & allied sectors across the state, and a special highlight on Goa Logistics policy 2023. ASSOCHAM aims to discuss the challenges that may arise in the respective fields and the solutions that will take India forward.
The program was inaugurated by Hon Minister of Industries Shri Mauvin Godinho. During his speech, he congratulated the ASSOCHAM Goa State Council for conducting the program. The Conference also had many key attendees like ASSOCHAM Goa Chairman - Mangurish Pai Raikar, ASSOCHAM Co-chairman - Dr. Sagar Salgaocar, Women Empowerment Chair - Pallavi Salgaocar, Chairman of IT committee - Manguirish Salelkar, Regional director of Goa & Gujarat - Vipul Ganjingwar and Assistant Director of Goa - Darshana Kossambe.

Amongst other speakers were Canara Bank’s Smt Sulfath H - senior manager of MSME Sulakbh, and Shri V Ramakrishna - Divisional manager of MSME Sulabh.
Harshad Kanvinde Founder and MD of Insurge Partners also spoke on Need for agility in cold chain supplies,
Apart from this, the conference had many celebrated speakers present, Dr. Milind Bhirud of CGM Nabard Goa, R Ganesh regional head of Canara Bank, Jyoti Sardesai - director of FDA, Dr. Praveen Khullar - GPMA president, Shri Chandrakant Gawas of Shraddha Shipping Pvt Ltd, Parixit Pai Fondekar of the Kamaxi group, Aftab Mohammed of Nuste.in, Dr. Suresh Kunkoliekar - Principal of Goa College of Agriculture, and Tanuj Guliani - Associate Director of GT, IAS Ramesh Verma, IAS Arjun Kumar Mishra and Vighnesh Prabhudesai.
The highlight of the program was the release of a knowledge paper at the hands of Hon Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho on Cold Chain Revolution 2.0 - ‘Transforming Goa into a distribution Hub’. The paper was by knowledge partner Grant Thorton (GT) who was represented by Chetan Bhakkad, partner of (GT) and his team.
The program was well attended by participants from Cold chain, logistics, and warehousing industries, technology sectors, education institutes, Pharma, agriculture & allied industries, Govt officials, and start-up entrepreneurs.
The program was skilfully compered by the founder of Vygr, Sonam Bhagat.
