Zendaya graces 'Dune 2' premiere in robot couture, stealing the spotlight

Zendaya stole the spotlight at the world premiere of Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part Two in London on February 15. She wore a see-through robot couture from Mugler's archives, looking stunning in robotic armour with metal and transparent panels. Zendaya made a grand entrance at the premiere in a Thierry Mugler robot suit, based on Frank Herbert's novel.

Thierry Mugler created the robotic suit in 1995, and it reveals a glimpse of the wearer's derriere, thighs, back and chest. Her stylist, Law Roach, was so proud of putting her in this outfit that he posted on Instagram, "And yes, it's the ORIGINAL suit." He also shared a picture of boxer Muhammad Ali with the caption, "I am the greatest."

The silver outfit had transparent parts that showed a nude bodysuit beneath it. These see-through sections extended along the back of her attire, with two specifically highlighting her backside.

Fans rushed to social media to express their shock and amazement following her grand appearance. They flooded the internet with their top photos and videos of the actress, exclaiming, "Zendaya, show some mercy!"

At 27 years old, Zendaya is a well-known fashion icon with dedicated fans from roles in Spiderman alongside boyfriend Tom Holland and in Dune: Part One. The arrival of Masters of Air actor Butler and his model girlfriend Kaia Gerber created much anticipation. Butler, acclaimed for his performance as Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis (2022), also appeared in Dune as the villain Feyd-Rautha.

Anticipation for Dune: Part Two is extremely high following the successful release of the first film. Dune: Part One, out in October 2021, received ten Oscar nominations and won six awards. It was a hit at the box office too, making over $400m worldwide. Fans are eagerly awaiting the new movie, with even a sandworm-shaped popcorn bucket going viral. The response from audiences globally to Dune: Part Two is still unknown, but for those who saw Chalamet, Zendaya, and other stars at the premiere, it was a night to remember.
