Yash Raj Films (YRF) production house announced the launch of a social media application for aspiring actors on Friday. According to the banner, budding talent from around the globe will receive casting call notifications for YRF films and series directly through the YRF Casting App.
YRF stated that the app would aid the studio in combating fraudulent casting calls purportedly issued on behalf of the company. The YRF Casting app offers aspiring actors convenient access to details about casting calls for YRF's films and series. Talent from around the world can utilize the app to stay updated on casting calls and even submit their auditions directly through the platform.
Shanoo Sharma, responsible for selecting and grooming actors for YRF projects, will oversee all auditions conducted through the app. Sharma described the YRF Casting App as a "progressive step" in assisting aspiring actors to directly connect with the studio for potential projects.
"We are confident that there are numerous talented actors worldwide waiting to be unearthed. This could be their once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! For the first time, aspiring actors can directly approach a production house. It's a secure platform. They no longer have to depend on others for their chance to fulfill their dreams." The YRF Casting App is now available for use.

To access the app, users can download it from the Google Play Store onto their smartphones. Aspiring actors are required to register either using their email address or by signing up through WhatsApp.
Additionally, according to YRF, the app would allow aspiring actors to register their profile information and submit auditions directly to the production banner, as mentioned in a press release.
Upon registration, users must complete their profile by providing details such as links to their social media accounts (Instagram and Facebook). They also have the option to include links to their X (formerly Twitter) account, YouTube channel, and IMDb.
Furthermore, actors are required to upload a cover photo, profile image, and an introduction video as part of their profile setup.
The YRF Casting App is now accessible for download on the Google Play Store. The app is completely free of charge and does not entail any application fees for actors submitting their audition videos.
