While fans struggled to contain their excitement over Vidya Balan, ‘Manjulika’ being back in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa Franchise, the Makers on Wednesday revealed that a new addition has been brought onboard. Guess who is starring opposite Kartik Aaryan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3? No, not Kiara Advani, it is ‘Qala’ actor Triptii Dimri.
The third instalment of the horror-comedy film franchise, Bhool Bhulaiyaa will feature Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan. Apart from Vidya returning as Manjulika, Kartik will also return to play his character Rooh Baba in the forthcoming horror-comedy.
The upcoming horror-comedy, directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar-led T-Series, is scheduled to hit theaters this Diwali on November 1. The film is expected to commence filming in March.

Kartik Aaryan breaked the news to the internet
Kartik Aaryan shared a photo on Instagram with Tripti in it to confirm the news. To keep things a little mysterious, earlier in the day, Kartik had posted two pictures on his social media, depicting an incomplete image of a smiling girl designed as puzzle pieces, to keep fans guessing. The puzzle was placed on a table with candles, a lantern, a lock, and a key. He wrote, “Solve kijiye Is Bhool Bhulaiyaa ko” (Solve this riddle).

Ultimately, he revealed that it wasTriptii Dimri Kartik wrote, 'Welcome to the World of Bhool Bhulaiyaa @tripti_dimri.'

T-Series on X, shared a post with the caption, “Eyes that haunt. Fear awaits.” Accompanied by the hashtags #BhoolBhulaiyaa3, #Diwali2024, and #BB3MysteryGirl, along with an image.
Earlier this month, it was disclosed that actress Vidya Balan, renowned for her portrayal of Manjulika in the 2007 psychological horror-comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa, would be returning to the franchise. Kartik Aaryan welcomed her onboard by stating, “And it's happening. OG Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa. Super thrilled to welcome @balanvidya. This Diwali is going to be crackling #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 @aneesbazmee @tseries.official #BhushanKumar.”
About the Bhool Bhulaiyaa Franchise Films
The original instalment of the horror-comedy franchise, released in 2007, followed Avni Chaturvedi (portrayed by Vidya Balan), a woman struggling with dissociative identity disorder. The film also starred Akshay Kumar, Shiney Ahuja, Ameesha Patel, and Paresh Rawal.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, directed by Bazmee, was one of the highest-grossing Hindi film releases of 2022, earning over Rs 250 crore at the box office. The movie featured Tabu and Kiara Advani.
Kartik's most recent appearance was in Satyaprem Ki Katha (2023) alongside Kiara Advani. He is also set to star in Kabir Khan’s upcoming film Chandu Champion. Triptii gained mainstream recognition through her role as Zoya, in the movie Animal. Previously, she has shined in films such as Bulbul (2020) and Qala (2022).
