Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, has surpassed Prabhas' upcoming film Salaar in terms of first-day bookings. The Hindi 2D shows of Dunki have already sold over 146,000 tickets, amounting to approximately Rs 4.54 crore.

As per reports, Dunki's incredible booking numbers were largely driven by the regions of Delhi, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Telangana, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir, according to the film trade portal Sacnilk.
Prabhas-starring action-packed film Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, on the flip side, managed to sell more than 156,000 tickets, accumulating approximately Rs 3.74 crore by Monday morning. Out of this, the Telugu 2D version of the movie sold a total of 85,627 tickets, while the Malayalam 2D version sold 42,847 tickets.
According to a report by Business Today, the Hindi 2D version of the film managed to sell a total of 19,149 tickets. On the other hand, the Tamil and Kannada 2D versions sold a combined total of 4,667 and 3,437 tickets respectively. Additionally, the Telugu and Hindi IMAX 2D shows sold a total of 1,110 and 51 tickets respectively.
The film's bookings have been greatly influenced by Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh.
The success of Salaar and Dunki at the box office holds immense significance in determining the future path of Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas, the lead actors of these films. It is of utmost importance that Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki performs exceptionally well, enabling the Bollywood superstar to achieve a remarkable streak of consecutive blockbusters. Shah Rukh Khan's previous movies, Pathaan and Jawan, were hailed as timeless blockbusters by both moviegoers and industry experts.
