In an upcoming gothic horror movie titled ‘The Dreadful’, Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, both known for their roles in Game of Thrones as Sansa Stark and Jon Snow as half siblings for eight seasons from 2011 to 2019, are set to reunite. The film, directed by Natasha Kermani from her own script, brings the two actors back together after their successful run on the iconic HBO series.
About the film ‘The Dreadful’
The producers of the film are Redwire Pictures/Tunnel’s Luke Daniels, as well as Storyboard Media’s Patrick Muldoon and Patrick Hibler, and Lucas Jarach, with Greg Lauritano also producing under his Black Magic banner.
In a backdrop of the War of the Roses, the film portrays the life of a woman Anne ( Sophie Turner) and her mother-in-law Morwen, who live a solitary, harsh life on society's outskirts. Their lives take a turn when a man from their past (played by Harington) returns, setting off a chain of events, a major turning point in the life of Anne, according to the official logline.
Recent Projects of Turner and Harington
Sophie Turner recently made an appearance in a feature film ‘Do Revenge’. She also starred in HBO miniseries The Staircase. Her upcoming project is the British crime series ‘Joan’ where she’ll play a real-life criminal “Godmother” Joan Hannington.
Meanwhile, Harington has been busy with recent projects like the TV series "Extrapolations" and "Lot No. 249", and the movies such as "Blood for Dust" and "Baby Ruby". Additionally, he portrayed Dane Whitman, the Marvel Comics character set to become the Black Knight, in "Eternals", hinting at potential future appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Last year, George R.R. Martin confirmed Harington's collaboration with HBO on a Jon Snow spinoff series. Fans can also look forward to seeing him in season 3 of "Industry".
