The film's massive success can be attributed in large part to the overwhelmingly positive response from fans. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds an impressive 95% critics score and an even higher 97% audience score. Social media is filled with enthusiastic fan reactions, as the first Spider-Verse movie resonated with animation enthusiasts, younger viewers, and die-hard Spider-Man fans. With such a well-crafted sequel, it's not surprising that it is garnering such acclaim after several years since the original release.
Sony Pictures Animation has an additional reason to celebrate, as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse previously won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
