Shehzada is not cutting it - Kartik Aaryan's film a dud

Kartik Aaryan's latest movie, "Shehzada," failed to impress the audience in its advance booking and opening day shows, resulting in a mere 9% occupancy across India. This is in sharp contrast to Kartik's last big release, "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2," which had 18% occupancy in its morning shows and managed to earn Rs 14 crore on its opening day.

Shehzada's release had been postponed by a week for Pathaan. But, this has resulted in stiff competition with "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," which had a relatively stronger start at the box office.

Kartik Aaryan’s USP is honesty which he portrays through his performance since his debut days and that’s visible in his character Bantu as well. Kriti Sanon looks beautiful and that's about it. Paresh Rawal does his job as the bad-guy dad while Rajpal Yadav has a special appearance that doesn't do much to the audience experience.

The original was saved by Allu Arjun despite the weak story - this one doesn't seem to have that saviour after all.
