Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' Receives U/A Certification, Limited Cuts, Runtime Revealed

The excitement is building for the release of Shah Rukh Khan much-anticipated film, Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Following the two major blockbusters Pathaan and Jawan, SRK seems poised for a hat-trick of success with this upcoming comedy-drama.

Dunki is set to hit theaters worldwide on 21 December, and a week ahead of its release, the film has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The censor board reviewed the film on December 15, and granted it a U/A certificate. The approved runtime for Dunki is set at 2 hours and 41 minutes (161 minutes).

According report, the CBFC’s suggested cuts are limited. The board directed the inclusion of anti-smoking health spots at the film’s beginning and just before the start of the second half. Additionally, a word in the opening scene was modified to ‘immigrants.’

The following mandatory warning will appear during a significant scene in the movie: "Suicide is not a solution to any problems." In addition, the figures and other information revealed at the end of the movie were supported by factual proof provided by the filmmakers. A few shots of Shah Rukh Khan's character Hardy in uniform riding a horse before his wedding were also "appropriately" altered prior to the break.

Taapsee Pannu plays the lead female role in the movie. The movie also stars Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Anil Grover, and Vikram Kochhar, among others. The film is produced by Gauri Khan, Rajkumar Hirani, and Jyoti Deshpande. On December 21, Dunki will be presented in theaters. The Prabhas-starring movie Salaar and the movie will compete at the box office.
