Meghna Gulzar's war movie Sam Bahadur, featuring Vicky Kaushal in the title role, was finally released on OTT on Friday. On the occasion of the 75th Republic Day, the historical drama debuted on ZEE5. Those who didn't see it in theatres were awakened to Vicky's "pitch-perfect" performance.

Sam Bahadur releases on OTT
Sam Bahadur, starring Vicky Kaushal, had its digital premiere on ZEE5 on January 26 in honor of the 75th Republic Day. The war biopic, which is helmed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by RSVP Films, Ronnie Screwvala's production company, documents the remarkable life of Sam Manekshaw, tracing his achievements and turning points from his early days as chief of army staff to his well-earned retirement.
"I am grateful for the love and support that fans have showered upon the character during its theatrical release. The film’s digital premiere on ZEE5 will help the story reach a wider audience hence, I am proud to present Sam Bahadur on the 75th Republic Day as a tribute to the undying spirit of our nation," said Vicky Kaushal in a statement.
Sam Bahadur, which was released in theatres on December 1, also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub. The film had earned over â‚ą100 crore worldwide at the box office.
