Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ gets A certificate, followed by a shocking runtime

Ranbir Kapoor's much-anticipated film 'Animal' has received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to its violent content and adult themes. The film's director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, took to Twitter to share the news, stating that the film's runtime is also quite long, clocking in at 3 hours and 21 minutes.

Vanga's tweet read, "Censor rating for ANIMAL is A 3 hour 21 minutes 23 seconds & 16 frames is the Runtime  #AnimalTheFilm Releasing on Dec 1st @VangaPictures @TSeries."

The film's long runtime has surprised many, as most Bollywood films are typically around 2 hours and 30 minutes long. However, Vanga has defended the film's length, saying that it is necessary to tell the story properly.

"The story of 'Animal' is a complex one, and it requires a long runtime to do it justice," Vanga said. "I don't believe in making films that are just two hours long for the sake of it. I want to make films that are memorable, and I think 'Animal' is one of those films."

The film's A certificate is likely to restrict its viewership, as films with an A certificate are only allowed to be seen by adults. However, Vanga is confident that the film will still be a success.

"I'm not worried about the A certificate," Vanga said. "I believe that the film will find its audience. It's a film that is sure to stay with you long after you've seen it."
