With her spy-thriller web series Citadel on Amazon Prime, Priyanka Chopra is preparing to make her OTT debut. The actor has already signed a new contract with Amazon Studios, though, so the programme hasn't even premiered yet. In the upcoming action movie Heads of State, she will also star alongside actor-wrestler John Cena and actor Idris Elba.
Along with Citadel, Priyanka is preparing for the release of Love Again, a Hollywood film in which she co-stars alongside Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. It will be made available in May. In the Farhan Akhtar-directed Bollywood films Jee Le Zaraa and Ending Things, she co-stars with Anthony Mackie.
Heads of state will start being shot in May, according to a report. Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec wrote the script based on a tale by Harrison Query, and Ilya Naishuller, best known for his work on Nobody, will helm it. The rumour also makes a passing reference to the movie being similar to Air Force One and Midnight Run.
Before beginning the advertising for Citadel, Priyanka was recently spotted at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre's opening in Mumbai. Following the two-day NMACC opening ceremony over the weekend, Priyanka attended the Mumbai premiere of The Citadel on Tuesday. In addition, she was joined by her co-star, Richard Madden. On April 28, 40 different languages will have access to the first two episodes of the series on Amazon Prime worldwide.
