One of the largest unions for actors in Hollywood, SAG-AFTRA, declared that they would join the writers' strike on July 14 at midnight. This is the first time in 63 years that it has occurred. After failing to achieve a new labour agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, the Screen Actors Guild declared a strike. The initiative has also enlisted Priyanka Chopra.
Priyanka posted a picture on Instagram to show her commitment to the cause. She wrote, "I stand with my union and my comrades. We build a better tomorrow together. Sag Aftra Strong and Sag Aftra Strike Production on a number of upcoming television shows and films has been delayed as a result of the strike.
IMPACT OF THE STRIKE ON PEECEE'S PROJECT
The Hollywood strike also caused the filming of Priyanka Chopra and John Cena's "Heads of State" to be put on hold. The Screen Actors Guild went on strike, according to a fan page on Instagram. During the SAG-AFTRA strike, Hollywood will be fully shut down. As a SAG-AFTRA member, Priyanka will be unable to film anywhere on the globe for any film or television project until a new agreement between SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP can be negotiated and the actors' strike is over. According to some sources, the actors strike will last until the beginning of the autumn (September).
The ongoing strike had previously impacted promotions for "Oppenheimer" and "Barbie." In reality, the 'Oppenheimer' actors left the London premiere as soon as the strike started.
