This news was announced on social media by Ram Charan’s father and renowned actor, Chiranjeevi Konidela, as well as Upasana’s parents, as they tweeted, "With the blessings of Shri Hanuman Ji, we are delighted to share that Upasana & Ram Charan are expecting their first child. With love & gratitude Surekha & Chiranjeevi Konideli, Shobana & Anil Kamineni (sic)." The actor and his wife also shared the same message in the form of a pictorial post on Instagram and Twitter.

The power couple had met each other during their college days. They shared a beautiful bond of friendship which soon turned into romance, and they have been going strong since then. They spent several years dating each other before confirming their relationship. They eventually got married on June 14, 2012, after a star-studded engagement in 2011. They celebrated their 10th anniversary this year by taking a trip to Florence, Italy.

Both of them are very strong individuals with their own careers and personalities. Ram Charan is the son of Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, who made his debut in film 'Chirutha', and has since then, starred in several noteworthy and box-office blockbusters like RRR. Upasana Kamineni is the founder of UR-Life, a holistic wellness platform and the vice chairperson CSR-Appollo Hospitals. She is the granddaughter of Dr Prathap C Reddy, founder of the Apollo Hospitals empire.
