Shah Rukh Khan's film "Jawan" has achieved yet another milestone at the worldwide box office. Released on September 7, the film has now become the first Hindi film in Indian cinema history to cross ₹1100 crores worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023. Shah Rukh Khan's manager, Pooja Dadlani, took to Instagram to announce this achievement. The post revealed that "Jawan" has now reached ₹1103.27 crores, with ₹619.92 crores coming from the Indian national box office and ₹369.90 crores from the global box office.
"Jawan" has emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, surpassing the collections of films like "Gadar 2" and "Pathaan." The film was released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages and collected ₹80.1 crore nett in India on its first Sunday in theaters.
The film features Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role as Vikram Rathore and his son Azad. Deepika Padukone makes a special appearance, while Nayanthara marks her Hindi debut. Vijay Sethupathi plays the lead antagonist, and the film also stars Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan, and Aaliyah Qureishi.
Atlee co-wrote, directed, and produced "Jawan," and Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma are the producers under Red Chillies Entertainment.
