In August, OMG 2, starring Akshay Kumar, will make its premiere. However, a new report claims that the film has had issues with the Central Board of Certification (CBFC). Contrary to rumours that the Censor Board has delayed the release of the film, OMG 2 has allegedly been submitted to the Revision Committee for a comprehensive review. The modification takes place soon after Adipurush's contentious conversations.
According to reports, the Censor Board sent the movie to the revising committee as "preemptive action." The board doesn't want a repeat of the uproar that happened after Adipurush's release last month. Due to some disputed sections in the film, Adipurush drew criticism from the general population. After the film's debut, the dialogue had to be changed, for which dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir expressed regret.
Although Akshay Kumar and director Amit Rai have not yet commented on the accusations, a source involved in the film said that so far, "there is no issue." "The censor board procedure is ongoing," they added.
The OMG 2 trailer, which debuted earlier this week, revealed that Akshay would play Lord Shiva. On the actor, dreadlocks were seen. In the film, Pankaj Tripathi doubles as a devotee, while Akshay plays a god. The film also includes appearances by Yami Gautam and Arun Govil. The release date of August 11 for OMG 2, the sequel to the 2012 movie OMG starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, indicates that it will face off against Sunny Deol's Gadar 2.
