'Pointlessly Violent' 'Vile' 'Off-Putting' - Early reviews of Animal are shockingly rough

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's latest Hindi film 'Animal' delves into the complex relationship between a troubled man and his powerful father, featuring a star-studded cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna. Fans have highly anticipated the movie since the release of its teaser, which promised a thrilling mix of romance and action. However, early reviews seem to be mixed, with reports suggesting that the film has failed to attract a large audience on its opening day.

As per the report by Times of India, 'Animal' is a gripping tale of vengeance, filled with darkness, turmoil, and brutality. Ranbir Kapoor's character embarks on a frantic rampage, driven by the desire to earn his father's validation. After the massive success of 'Kabir Singh, Sandeep is now delving into intricate human connections in this upcoming film.

Reportedly, Sandeep Reddy Vanga had promised to showcase his violent side in his next film, as he had mentioned in an old interview. And true to his word, Animal does not disappoint! However, the movie seems to be too fixated on Ranvijay's quest to find his father's attacker, which leaves little room for other characters to shine. While the first half is packed with intense violence, the second half feels a bit toned down. Nevertheless, the story still manages to keep the audience engaged with its confrontations and shocking revelations. And just when you think the bloodshed is over, a new villain enters the scene.

Animal is an incredibly intense film that delves into the story of a boy who idolizes his wealthy father, despite the lack of reciprocation. Clocking in at nearly three and a half hours, it's a lengthy watch, but that's not the only reason why it's so exhausting. This movie bombards your senses from every angle, leaving you feeling overwhelmed.

The film tries to convince us that it's perfectly normal for a loving son to completely lose it when anyone threatens his father and sisters' well-being. With danger lurking around every corner, he feels justified in being as rude and aggressive as he wants.

Despite mixed reviews from viewers, the movie is poised to give Ranbir Kapoor his biggest opening yet.
