The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the detailed exam schedule for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2023 session.
The exam is scheduled from December 6 to December 22, 2023, and the city intimation slip will be issued 10 days before the exam. Candidates can find the subject-wise detailed exam schedule on the official NTA website (nta.ac.in). Admit cards will be released in the first week of December.
The UGC NET syllabus varies for each subject, covering research methodology, teaching methodology, and subject knowledge. The exam pattern includes two papers: a general Paper I and a subject-specific Paper II, both conducted as a computer-based test (CBT).
For English and History, the UGC NET December 2023 exams are on December 6 in shifts 1 and 2, respectively. Commerce is on December 7 (shift 1), and computer science is on December 7 (shift 2). Public Administration and Philosophy are scheduled for December 8 (shift 2), while Political Science and Hindi exams will be on December 11 (shifts 1 and 2, respectively). Geography, Sociology, and Mass Communication exams are on December 12.
The written exams will be in two shifts daily: 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm. Results are expected on January 10, 2024. The NTA helpline is available at 011-40759000, and inquiries can be emailed to ugcnet@nta.ac.in.
The UGC NET December 2023, conducted by NTA, aims to determine eligibility for 'Junior Research Fellowship' and eligibility for 'Assistant Professor' positions in Indian universities and colleges in 83 subjects.
