NEET-UG Retest Results Declared; Awaiting NEET PG 2024 Exam Dates

NEET PG Dates Soon: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will announce the new NEET PG 2024 exam date later this week, following the postponement of the June 22 exam. The exam is now expected to take place in August, with official dates to be announced soon on natboard.edu.in. The previous delay caused by the Rath Yatra event necessitates coordination between NBEMS, TCS, and the government. Candidates should check the NBEMS website for updates by selecting NEET PG 2024 and downloading the PDF notifications. The NEET PG, a critical exam for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma programs, consists of 200 multiple-choice questions worth 800 points in total, with a penalty for incorrect responses.

Neet PG Exam

July 1: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the results of the 1,563 candidates' National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 re-test today. The students who took the retest can view their scorecards on the official website. On Saturday, the final NEET UG retest answer key was made public. For 1,563 candidates who had originally received grace marks because they claimed to have lost exam time, the NTA administered this retest. 813 of these applicants took the second exam. The retest was conducted at several centers within the same six cities.

According to NTA sources, none of the 813 candidates were able to score 720/720, reducing the top scorers' aggregate from 67 to 61. On June 23, five of the six applicants who had previously scored a flawless 720/720 showed up for the retest. However, they did record high scores upwards of 680.

Those who did not take the retest will retain their initial scores without the grace marks, while those who did will receive revised scores.

Fresh Dates for Other Public Examinations:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) had previously also announced new dates for various examinations that were canceled, postponed, or rescheduled due to alleged irregularities. The agency has announced that the University Grants Commission–National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) exam will now be held from August 21 to September 4.

The UGC-NET is a required exam for admission to PhD programs, appointment as assistant professor, and eligibility for junior research fellowships. It was canceled on June 18, one day after the exam was administered, because of rumors of a paper leak. This year, the UGC-NET was held offline on a single day, deviating from the previous pattern. The exam will be rescheduled, however, it will follow the previous format of a two-week Computer Based Test (CBT). Furthermore, the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) UGC-NET, which was rescheduled for July 25–27, will now take place after being postponed for precautionary reasons. The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) has been rescheduled for July 10 after being abruptly postponed from its original June 12 date.
