IIT BHU Varanasi is now accepting online applications from qualified and meritorious individuals, including both Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), for faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official website of IIT BHU.

This recruitment initiative targets multiple departments, including Architecture, Planning and Designing, Ceramic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences.

It is worth noting that Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are also encouraged to apply for contractual appointments lasting up to five years, with the possibility of renewal based on performance.

Eligibility requirements –

Assistant Professor Grade-I:

To be eligible, one needs a Ph.D. with a first-class or equivalent qualification at the preceding degree in the relevant field. Demonstration of a robust academic track record is needed and a minimum of three years of experience in teaching, research, or industry in a reputable organization.

For Assistant Professor Grade-II:

To be eligible, one needs a Ph.D. with a first-class or equivalent qualification in the relevant field. An outstanding academic history is required, and he/she should have proven research skills, as demonstrated by publications in respected journals or patents.

Salary Details -

Assistant Professor Grade-I: Rs 1,01,500 to Rs 1,67,400

Assistant Professor Grade-II: Rs 57,700 to Rs 98,200
