Two professors from Andhra Loyola College (ALC), Vijayawada, have been named among the top 2% of scientists in the world by Stanford University.
According to a press release from the college, the researchers N. Veeraiah and M.C. Rao were honoured based on evaluations of papers they had published. It is a huge prestige for the college, according to Principal Fr. Kishore, because along with the Sandford list, the names of its teachers are also listed among renowned institutions like the IIMs and IITs.
According to the correspondent Fr. Sahaya Raj, this recognition emphasises both the individual accomplishments of these professors as well as the high calibre of research and academic excellence carried out in ALC. Such accomplishments serve as an inspiration for both educators and students and show that greatness in research and academia can be pursued and attained in various educational settings, he continued.
