Ahead of the tenth edition of its Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show 2024 on January 9 in Gandhinagar. The event, held at the Helipad Ground Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, covers an expansive 2 lakh square meters across multiple halls.
20 Countries like Australia, Tanzania, Morocco, and others are set to showcase their industries at the exhibition. With 1,000 exhibitors focusing on the research sector, the trade show encompasses 13 halls, each dedicated to themes like 'Make in Gujarat' and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat.'
Modi, accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, took a tour of the stalls, engaging with exhibitors and dignitaries.
During his three-day visit to his home state, Earlier today, PM Modi convened with heads of states and senior officials from Mozambique, Timor, and Timor-Leste at the Mahatma Gandhi Mandir, the main summit venue.
In addition, he engaged in discussions with global CEOs, such as Sanjay Mehrotra of Micron, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, chairman of DP World, Toshihiro Suzuki, officials from Deakin University, and Vincent Clerc of AP Moller Maersk.
The trade show, which opened its doors for business on January 10-11, is set to welcome the public on January 12-13. The exhibition spans various sectors, from agro and food processing to textiles, renewable energy, and technology.
As part of the inauguration, PM Modi launched an e-coffee table book titled 'The Summit of Success Towards Realization of Fullest Potential of Gujarat,' along with a commemorative coin and stamp marking significant milestones in the summit's history.
With a special focus on themes like women empowerment, MSME development, and sustainable energy, the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show aims to showcase cutting-edge developments and foster collaboration in diverse sectors.
