Apple’s CEO Tim Cook is looking at India as an emerging market for Apple’s products. He said, “A major number of Indians are entering the middle class and we can at least convince them to be a user of Apple.”
There is no doubt that Indian people are more inclined towards Apple. Thus, Apple opened two flagship stores in Mumbai and Delhi last month. They think India has that potential for production. Apple’s sales were pretty good this year due to new markets like India, Indonesia, America and the Middle East.
Apple’s recent focus is on building an app developer community. India will definitely contribute to that and hence Apple has made a good impression by opening flagship stores in the two most important cities, the capital and the financial capital of the country.
India is the fastest growing smartphone market. Therefore, it's tough competition for Apple as One Plus and Samsung already have a customer base which is also increasing.
