On Sunday, India formally handed the Business 20 (B20) presidency over to Brazil, saying "Exciting times ahead as we continue shaping global business priorities together." The official G20 forum for dialogue with the international business community is the B20 summit.
The X, formerly known as Twitter, of B20, posted, “Passing the torch! The #B20 Presidency has officially been handed over from India to Brazil.
Exciting times ahead as we continue shaping global business priorities together.”
India hosted the three-day conference from August 25–27 under the theme of R.A.I.S.E. — Responsible, Accelerated, Innovative, Sustainable, and Equitable Businesses. More than 1,500 delegates from around 55 countries attended.
On the summit's concluding day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a keynote speech. His address was delivered while India was handing over the B20 presidency to Brazil, signifying a transition in the organization's top leadership.
According to the B20 official website, B20 was founded in 2010 and is currently one of the G20's most well-known Engagement Groups. The B20 aims to provide specific, actionable policy proposals to promote economic development.
