Apple plans on launching 3 more stores in India by 2027 as part of its bigger expansion strategy. The company had previously opened its first 2 exclusive India retail stores in April, with CEO Tim Cook personally launching the locations in the national capital Delhi and financial hub Mumbai.
Like the initial two stores, the upcoming ones will also open in Mumbai and Delhi, according to Gurman. The third Apple shop in the nation is expected to open in Borivali, a suburb at the northwest corner of the financial capital, in 2025. The fifth, meanwhile, will debut in 2027 at a location in Worli, the metropolis.
The fourth exclusive location for the tech giant will be located at the DLF Promenade Mall in the nation's capital and will open in 2026. This location could potentially be the brand's second-largest store in India.
Cook greeted shoppers on April 18 at Apple's first store in India, the fifth-largest economy in the world, which is located in the Jio World Drive mall in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
The CEO then took a flight to Delhi, where she officially opened the store in the Select Citywalk Mall in Saket on April 20.
