Amazon Web Services big investment planning in India to meet demand for cloud services

Amazon Web Services is planning to invest $ 12.7 billion in cloud services in India by 2030. Looking at the growing demand for cloud services, Amazon took this decision on Thursday. This idea will support the Indian infrastructure and growth. 

Amazon has two data centre infrastructure regions in India, one is in Mumbai and another is in Hyderabad, which is known as AWS Asia Pacific. These two centre provide the safest data storage within India. Throughout the period from 2016 to 2022, Amazon’s performance in India has been quite good as it helped to create a workforce, gave employment to nearly 39500 people, focused on training of employees as well as skill development.  It has also taken sustainable initiatives and has created a good impression amongst locals. According to data, in those 6 years, AWS contributed Rs. 38200 Crore to India’s overall GDP.

Till date, in India, Amazon has trained a total of 4 million people for cloud services. Now this major step of investing billions of dollars in data centre infrastructure will create employment around 131700. Within Amazon, it will be a milestone in India’s development.
