This collaboration between Skoda and Volkswagen mirrors their successful previous partnerships, such as those seen with the Kushaq/Taigun and Slavia/Virtus. The development costs for Volkswagen's version of the SUV are estimated to be around €25 million, as reported by Autocar India.

Volkswagen's upcoming SUV will share several features with the Skoda Kylaq. Here’s a closer look at what the Kylaq will offer:
- Platform: Built on the MQB-A0-IN platform.
- Wheels: Sporty 17-inch black alloy wheels.
- Interior: A 2-spoke steering wheel, 10.1-inch touchscreen display, ventilated front seats, and a sunroof.
- Safety Features: Equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, rear parking camera, and rear parking sensors.
- Additional Safety: Features such as Brake Disc Wiping, Electronic Differential Lock, Passenger Airbag Deactivation, Multi-Collision Braking, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
- Engine Specs: Powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 114 hp and 178 Nm of torque.
While the Volkswagen compact SUV will share much with the Skoda Kylaq, it will incorporate unique design elements, including a new grille, redesigned front and rear lights, updated bumpers, and a modified tailgate exterior. Significant interior changes are also expected.
