TVS has introduced its latest electric scooter named the X, marking the brand's second foray into the electric scooter segment. Distinguished as the brand's inaugural high-performance electric scooter, it not only boasts an elegant design but also features an array of innovative components. This offering from TVS emanates a sporty aesthetic, showcasing a completely fresh design that draws inspiration from the earlier unveiled Creon concept. The production version of the new TVS X amply exhibits the concept's defining attributes, encompassing its sleek bodywork, dynamic panel shaping, and vibrant design philosophy.
Featuring comprehensive LED lighting, a 10.2-inch TFT screen equipped with TVS SmartXonnect for seamless smartphone integration, encompassing navigation, call management, and SMS access, and even offering customizable home screen options. The new TVS X electric scooter provides an assortment of attributes, including three distinct ride modes (Xtride, Xonic, and Xtealth), over-the-air updates (OTA), cruise control, and a range of additional features.
With a peak speed of 105 km/h, the recently unveiled TVS X EV showcases its swiftness. Notably, it can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. Propelled by a 4.44 kWh battery, it can achieve an impressive range of 140 km. This power source is paired with an 11 kW (peak power) motor. Complementing its performance, the scooter's hardware includes telescopic front forks, an offset mono-shock, and single-channel ABS-equipped front and rear disc brakes (220 mm front, 195 mm rear). These components are built around 12-inch wheels adorned with 100/80 front and 110/80 rear tires.
Reservations for the TVS X have officially opened, requiring a refundable initial payment of Rs. 5,000. Anticipated to begin in November, the deliveries of the scooter are scheduled. Interested customers can acquire the TVS X at a starting price of Rs. 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
