To give a tough competition to Mahindra Thar, Maruti Suzuki has launched a brand new SUV, Jimny. After 3 door Jimny, now Maruti has come up with 5 door Jimny. It made a Global announcement of Jimny 5 door at Auto Expo, an automotive show held in Delhi. Since its launch, booking has started with a downpayment of 25,000 rupees and there it has already registered almost 25,000 bookings. Its production started in the factory of Gurugram.
It has a greater wheelbase (340mm) with 1720 mm height, 3985 mm length and 1645 mmm width. It is designed with circular headlights and 5 grilles. It has a 36 degrees approach angle and 50 degrees departure angle. Wheels are 15 inches long and they are mounted spare wheels. It has a smart start stop system, leather covered steering, automatic climate control, Suzuki’s smart 9 inch touch screen, Arkamys sound system, 6 airbags, and anti-lock breaking system to control the vehicle more systematically. It has a 1.5 litre petrol engine.
Talking about the price of Jimny will cost around Rs. 10 to 14 lakh in India. It is available in 7 colours, including Sizzling Red, Granite Grey, Pearl Artic White, Bluish Black, Nexa Blue, and Kinetic Yellow and red with Bluish Black roof. The SUVs will definitely get more popularity among Indians and in other countries.
