Exterior Design

The Shotgun 650's exterior design strikes a harmonious balance between modern aesthetics and retro charm. Diverging from the chrome-dominated Super Meteor 650, the Shotgun boasts completely blacked-out hardware. The bobber-style tail and peashooter exhaust reveal a nod to classical design, while the upright riding position, higher seat at 795mm, mid-position foot pegs, and a 25.3-degree rake angle define its distinctive character.

Powertrain

Powered by RE’s reliable 648cc air-oil-cooled SOHC parallel twin, the Shotgun generates 46bhp at 7250rpm and 52.3Nm at 5650rpm through a 6-speed gearbox. While maintaining the same engine as the Super Meteor, Royal Enfield has adjusted the final drive ratios to provide a unique riding experience. With a 13.8-litre fuel tank and an impressive fuel efficiency of 22kmpl, the Shotgun ensures a range of approximately 300km on a full tank.

The chassis is paired with an 18-inch front alloy and a 17-inch rear alloy, equipped with Showa suspension for a smooth ride. Price Point

Positioned at Rs 3.59 lakh, the Shotgun 650 offers a compelling proposition in Royal Enfield's 650 lineup. Despite being priced higher than the Interceptor and Continental GT, it delivers enhanced hardware and a unique design. While not the priciest in the RE stable, reserved for the Super Meteor 650 at Rs 3.64 lakh, the Shotgun 650 brings a perfect blend of affordability and luxury to the discerning rider.

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 emerges as a distinctive addition to the 650 portfolio, boasting a fusion of traditional design elements and modern innovations. With its array of variants, captivating colours, and thoughtful engineering, the Shotgun promises an exhilarating riding experience for motorcycle enthusiasts seeking a harmonious blend of heritage and performance.
