Renault, an international company, having one wing in India, celebrated the achievement of producing 1 million vehicles. This milestone features the production capacity as well as the quality of Renault. This was possible due to the one and only production unit in India near Chennai which has an annual capacity of 4,80,000 vehicles.
Recently, Renault has invested Rs. 5,300 Crore which mainly focuses on six new products, of which 2 will be electronic vehicles. Now in India, it offers three passenger vehicles: KWID, KIGER and TRIBER and also exports them to countries in South Africa, East Africa, Asia Pacific and the Indian Ocean Region.
The overall production unit and new investment support the Make in India campaign of the Indian government. It has widely contributed to the economy and nation building. Through its new investment, it will create employment for nearly 2000 people. And by 2030, it aims to produce 2 million vehicles.
