Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the latest version of its popular sedan, the Dzire, on November 11, 2024, following the successful introduction of the 4th-generation Swift earlier this year. The 2024 Dzire will aim to replicate the popularity of its hatchback sibling while competing with the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor in the compact sedan segment. Here's what to expect from this updated model.
New Design and Exterior Changes
Leaked images reveal a bold design shift for the 4th-generation Dzire, moving away from the traditional styling of previous models. The new Dzire sports a wide grille, sleek LED headlamps, and a longer, flatter bonnet, enhancing its road presence. Multi-spoke alloy wheels and a completely redesigned rear section further set it apart from the outgoing model, giving it a fresh, modern look.
Spacious Cabin with Enhanced Features
The updated Dzire is expected to maintain its wheelbase but may offer more rear seat space, thanks to a repositioned bench. According to dealership sources, the cabin will feature a dual-tone design with beige accents. Essential features are set to include power windows, central locking, six airbags, reverse parking sensors, and a rear defogger, aligning closely with the feature set of the new Swift.
Engine and Transmission Options
Powering the Dzire will be Maruti’s new Z-Series 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine, delivering 81.58 Hp and 112 Nm of torque. Customers will have the choice between a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Additionally, the Dzire is likely to offer a factory-fitted CNG kit for eco-friendly driving options.
Pricing and Variants
The outgoing Dzire starts at ₹6.57 lakh (ex-showroom), while the 2024 model is anticipated to have a starting price of around ₹6.99 lakh. It will be available in five trims: LXI, VXI, VXI(O), ZXI, and ZXI+, providing options to cater to various budget preferences.
