Jaguar Land Rover to launch 8 battery electric vehicles in India by 2030

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) plans to electrify its Indian lineup with eight battery-powered vehicles by 2030, starting with the Range Rover BEV in 2025. The British luxury car brand currently sells only one electric vehicle in India, the Jaguar I-Pace.
according to Chief Commercial Officer Lennon Hoornik. 

JLR Chief Commercial Officer Lennard Hoornik announced that the company will start accepting orders for the electric Range Rover in 2024, with deliveries expected to begin the following year.

Explaining the company’s plan for the country, he said, “We want to grow the Range Rover brand, the Range Rover Sport brand, and the Defender brand, which have been doing well in India.”

According to Hoornik, the company plans to have a separate growth strategy for each of its four brands: Jaguar, Range Rover, Discovery, and Defender. He said that each brand has its unique growth plan, retail environment, and audience.
