Jaguar Land Rover is Hiring Laid-off Meta and Twitter Employees

Tata-owned Jaguar Land Rover announced on the 18th of November that it is looking to hire about 800 employees with digital skills, engineers and tech workers. This news is taken keeping in mind Jaguar's initiative to become an all-electric brand by 2024.

Jaguar to be all electric by 2025

“Jaguar Land Rover is transforming to an electric-first business, and we are creating some of the most digitally advanced vehicles ever seen. Through our products we will create new experiences, new levels of intimacy and connected car services for our customers, to give our clients a truly modern luxury experience.”

Although as of now this luxury brand is miles behind Mercedes, Tesla, Cadillac and BMW in technology, efficiency and range, Jaguar is set on improving itself and making Jaguar a world-class competitor by 2025.

The news of hiring in the digital technology industry is also taken in regard to the recent layoffs that are happening in the tech sector. After working in companies like Twitter, Amazon, Meta and many more these employees might be the key to bringing Jaguar's vision to reality.

In the statement, Jaguar says that vacancies are available in the UK, Ireland, USA, India, China and Hungary and the jobs that they are recruiting for span from Autonomous Driving, Artificial Intelligence, Electrification, Cloud Software, Data Science, Machine Learning and many more. Jaguar has also offered hybrid working for the new hires.

According to Jaguar's statement, these roles are being filled because “These skills are essential to developing, building and repairing Jaguar Land Rover’s next generation of cars that will epitomise beauty and modern luxury while delivering for clients a fully connected experience.”

They also said “Our digital transformation journey is well underway but being able to recruit highly skilled digital workers is an important next step. We are pleased to be able to provide opportunities to talented individuals with digital capabilities.”

Recently Jaguar has been going through a few losses and it only remains to be seen if the new hires can turn their luck around.
