Honda's 'Grom' ready for 2024 with bold design, check for new features

There is no better thrill than riding a Honda Grom two-wheeler. The 125cc engine, lightweight and compact, delivers a trouble-free enjoyable experience. In 2024, Honda released an updated version of the minibike, staying true to the Grom's formula.

In Japan, the 2024 Honda Grom has made its debut. Starting with the exterior, the Honda Grom gets a makeover. It no longer has the appearance of a toy bike, and the design even has a hint of maturity. The sleek side panels, the large fuel tank that adds visual bulk, and the new headlight cluster all make this clear. The Grom appears sleek and appealing overall, with a minimal tail section. Two new colourways for the 2024 Honda Grom are Pearl Horizon White and Matte Gunpowder Black.

Under the recently installed bodywork is a steel mono-backbone frame supported by a USD fork and a mono-shock. With a 120-section tyre up front and a 130-section tyre at the back, the bike is equipped with alloy wheels.
The Grom is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 10bhp and 11.1Nm. It's paired with a five-speed transmission.

The Honda Grom was never launched in India; however, as the market opens up to newer and more diverse styles of two-wheelers, it will be interesting to see if Honda will consider the Grom for India. It should make an excellent urban runabout and a suitable replacement for the now-defunct Honda Navi, which was perhaps ahead of its time.

Technology and Features

The GROM 2024 is equipped with modern technology and offers a variety of features to improve the riding experience. Honda has designed the bike with practical and user-friendly elements, such as an advanced instrument cluster and integrated connectivity options.

The GROM places a high priority on rider comfort despite its small size. The ergonomics are intended to accommodate a wide range of body types, and the seating position strikes a balance between a comfortable ride and sporty responsiveness.
