The aircraft AI 173, departed from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International album reportedly from, 12.05 am IST on Tuesday, 6th June 2023.
Due to an issue with the aircraft engine,an emergency landing was made at the Sokol Airport, close to Magadan at 1.30pm.
On 7th June 2023, an Air India flight was sent for rescue from Mumbai, which carried all the essential supplies and supporting staffs.
Amidst all the tension that is built between America and Russia, the flight being stranded created a speck of anxiety.
Besides this, the airline management has made all the arrangements to provide assistance to the passengers including immigrant formalities.
The management has also accepted to refund the ticket price, of all the 172 passengers, which is seen as a kind gesture by the public.
