A worker, Ramdhani Yadav, died after an under-construction metro pillar collapsed at a site in Mumbai’s Mulund area.

The incident triggered panic on-site, while the victim’s family has refused to accept the body, demanding ₹2 crore compensation and a government job for a family member.

Members of the Yadav community have joined protests, seeking written assurance from authorities.

Police have launched an investigation to determine whether negligence was involved.
