Hong Kong is giving away 500,000 Free air tickets to bring tourists back

Hongkong, the city we all relate to the most beautiful Disneyland, which is every child's dream to visit at least once - Is giving free flight tickets to its tourists. Yes! You heard it right.

In order to boost the city's tourism post-Covid, Airport Authority Hong Kong has decided to give out 500,000 airline tickets to global visitors, worth 2 billion Hong kong dollars. Until a few months ago, Hong Kong followed the most strict quarantine policies, adhering to China's zero-covid policies.

The primary objective behind this exercise is just to boost tourism after Covid and help airlines get back to their normal, pre covid flight schedules. Dang Cheng, the Executive Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board said that, once the government rules out all the Covid-19 restrictions, they would finalise all arrangements with the airline companies and roll out advertising campaigns informing people about free tickets and encouraging them to visit Hong Kong.

Distribution of these free tickets will be done by the Hong Kong Airport Authority and they have already bought plane tickets during the pandemic to be given out in 2023.
