As per the aviation regulator DGCA's announcement on Thursday, Go First, the financially struggling airline, has halted ticket sales until May 15 and is working to reimburse or reschedule previous orders for alternative dates. The airline unexpectedly decided to suspend flights for three days starting on May 3, which led to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issuing a show-cause notice to the airline. According to a report by PTI, Go First has notified that they have halted the sale of their flights until May 15, 2023. They are currently in the process of reimbursing or rebooking passengers who had already made bookings with them.
PTI reported that the regulator has reviewed the response submitted by Go First and has issued an order in accordance with the applicable regulations, instructing the airline to process passenger refunds within the specified timelines. The regulator expressed its commitment to reducing passenger inconvenience, considering the sudden decision by Go First to halt its scheduled operations without prior notice. In a separate statement, Go First stated that it has cancelled flights until May 9 due to operational reasons.
