On Tuesday, YouTube suffered a worldwide outage that was reported by Downdetector, which received thousands of user complaints regarding difficulty accessing and streaming content. The majority of issues were related to video streaming (51%), while 31% of users had difficulty accessing the app. Meanwhile, 17% of individuals alerted Downdetector about issues with the website version of YouTube. Despite the cause of the outage being unknown, YouTube acknowledged the issue on Twitter after a user raised it, stating they were investigating. Netizens also took to Twitter to voice their frustration with the platform.
