The finalists of Doodle for Google India are up now and voting is officially open! Doodle for Google is an online competition held by google every year in multiple countries. In India, this event keeps growing larger by the year wherein over 100000 students from 1450 schools in 100+cities participated, submitted their entries on the theme of ‘In the next 25 years, my India will…’
To participate, the child should send creative artwork to Google around the topic of the year - this year being, "In the next 25 years, my India will......" The judges then choose 20 national finalists for each group. From the 20 they then choose 4 group winners. After which the doodles are handed to the people's votes. The National winner is the one who gets the most votes. The doodle of the National Winner amongst these will be featured on www.google.co.in for 24 hours on November 14, 2022.
Google also offers amazing prizes for the winners, apart from the feature:
- The 20 national finalists will have their Doodles featured on the Doodle for Google gallery and will receive Google hardware, Certificate / Trophy of achievement and Fun Google schwag
- The four Group Winners will have their Doodles featured on the Doodle for Google gallery. Each National Finalist will receive INR 200,000 college scholarship, INR 100,000 technology package for their school/non-profit organisation, Google hardware, Certificate / Trophy of achievement and Fun Google schwag
- Finally, The National Winner’s artwork will be displayed on Google for one day (24 hours) on Nov 14th, 2022. They will also receive INR 500,000 college scholarship, INR 200,000 technology package for their school/non-profit organisation, Certificate / Trophy of achievement, Google hardware and Fun Google schwag
The Doodle For Google contest has been held in India on an annual basis since 2009 and sees participation from young, enthusiastic students from Class 1 to 10. The entries are evaluated by Google executives and by a handpicked and distinguished jury panel consisting of industry leaders and creative artists.
The judges for this year are veteran actor Neena Gupta, Kuraikose Vaisian, editor-in-chief of Tinkle comics, social influencers and YouTube duo Slayypoint and artist and youtuber Alika Bhatt. The voting will close on November 7th at 10 am IST.
