Vietnam breaks new ground with AI-Generated Virtual Singer 'Ann'

On March 14, BoBo Studio, the creator of the robot, introduced the first virtual singer, Ann, to the public. Ann was created in Vietnam using a combination of AI algorithms and multiple sound effects layers. Ann's debut solo song, "Lam Sao Noi Thuong Anh"(How to Say I Love You) was released along with a music video featuring impressive visual effects. BoBo Studio has plans to alter Ann's music style to a genre of rock music with a baby voice. They also aim to develop Ann as an idol with a long-term career path in music, as well as in other areas like acting, fashion, and commerce.

This is not a new concept, as countries like South Korea, Japan, and the United States have already created virtual singers. The advantage of having virtual singers is that they are less likely to be involved in private life scandals and can perform continuously without worrying about health, age, and skills. In addition, two virtual singers, Damsan and Michau, performed at the HCMC International Music Festival last year through a hologram presentation.
