As the iPhone 15 launch comes closer, the Apple supply chain analyst makes a bold statement.
Ming-Chi Kou is Apple’s supply chain analyst and tipster and he has stated that with the launch of the new iPhone 15 Apple is all set to take over Samsung as the biggest smartphone brand.
"Samsung’s smartphone shipments have been cut to 220 million units this year. If Apple keeps the 2H24 iPhone orders unchanged, then the iPhone shipments are expected to reach 220 to 225 million units in 2023, surpassing Samsung as the largest smartphone brand. This shipment ranking has a long-term positive impact on Apple's ecosystem," Kuo said.
If iPhone follows the trajectory stated by Kou then Apple will easily take over as the biggest smartphone brand.
The new iPhone 15 is also said to have many changes and new features that may be revealed soon.
The date of the launch hasn't been announced but is expected to be announced sometime this week.
