Whatsapp has launched a new status reaction feature for all IOS users, while this feature is already available for Android users. The updated version 22.21.75 will allow users to react to statuses on Whatsapp just like how you can react to stories on Instagram. Along with the status reaction feature, the update will also bring some other new features for users to avail such as the call links feature, admin group message deletion and many more.
The status reaction feature will allow users to react to Whatsapp status with eight available emojis-
Smiling Face with Heart eyes, Face with tears of joy, Face with open mouth, Crying face, Folded hands, Clapping hands, Party popper and a Hundred points. This feature will be shown as soon as the user opens a status and it is very similar to the feature on Instagram. The recipient of the reactions will see an emoji as a reply for the status. This feature has made it easy and direct for users to reply and react to someone's status. One has to make sure that they are using an updated version of the app to avail of this feature. Though, Whatsapp is still taking time to roll out this feature for all users.
Another new feature will be the call link that will be visible within the call tab on Whatsapp and will allow users to create a link for an audio or video call and send it to people to join the call, very similar to how links are created for people to join WhatsApp groups.
Whatsapp recently launched a feature where people can delete a message once sent with either 'delete for me' or 'delete it for everyone' options available. Sometimes users wish to delete messages for everyone but delete it for themselves. This new feature will allow users to recover the message they deleted. This feature will be called undo the ‘delete for me’ message.
The Admin Delete feature will allow group admins to delete messages sent by group members if they find them inappropriate or problematic. And only the admin will get to know if someone leaves the group.
More new features such as adding a voice message to your Whatsapp status are still under development.
