Revealed at the sixth annual Lens Fest, this strategic collaboration aims to provide developers with the ability to integrate ChatGPT into their AR Lenses, offering an array of educational, conversational, and imaginative possibilities for Snapchat users.

Furthermore, Snap is enhancing its initiatives by introducing Lens Studio 5.0 Beta, an AR development tool that aims to enhance the creation of fascinating Lenses. The most notable aspect of this progress is the incorporation of the ChatGPT Remote API, which offers Lens developers unparalleled access to the remarkable capabilities of ChatGPT.

According to reports from TOI, it is anticipated that this move will unlock a spectrum of immersive experiences, which is seen as a significant milestone in the evolution of augmented reality.

It is worth mentioning that Snap's My AI chatbot currently depends on OpenAI's GPT large language model, demonstrating the company's dedication to utilizing state-of-the-art technology to improve user engagement.

In line with Snap's dedication to nurturing creativity, the company has recently launched a 3D face mask generator. This remarkable tool enables users to craft their own potentially trending self-expression Lenses, combining the cutting-edge Gen AI capabilities with Snap's advanced face mesh features. Despite recent workforce adjustments, Snap is pleased to announce that 330,000 developers are actively contributing to the development of Snap's AR platform, leading to the creation of nearly 3.5 million Licenses.
