One of the most talked-about stories in gaming and in the world of technology has been the announcement of the PlayStation 5 Pro. For those who just bought a PlayStation 5, news of the PS5 Pro will feel a bit like a harsh slap in the face. After all, the PS5 is still relatively new and more than capable of giving a great gaming experience on 4K resolution with smooth gameplay. Now, would it be necessary to spend another $699.99 for the Pro? Here's why many think that's not needed.
Only minor improvements over PS5: While the PS5 Pro features some important upgrades, many would say that such improvements could have equally been rolled out through a software update to all owners of existing PS5s-and especially so regarding the AI improvements. The GPU performance increase is impressive but doesn't greatly change the core experience for most games currently available.

After all, the present PS5 still manages to run 4K games with smoothness, and investing in the PS5 Pro for just a handful of features is not worth the trouble that many believe. For the majority of gamers, the smart option would be holding on to their PS5 and waiting for a more substantial leap later on.
