Scammers employ various methods such as fake accounts, paid ads, or direct messages to promote "like and earn" scams. These schemes make tempting promises of quick cash through actions like liking, sharing, or subscribing to certain videos, channels, or profiles. The offered rewards often appear unrealistic, such as the promise of earning substantial amounts for just a few clicks.
This builds confidence in victims who are then lured into investing more for the promise of greater returns. Often without much scrutiny, individuals invest in these schemes. When they seek returns, scammers request additional investments, perpetuating a cycle that persists until the victim becomes aware of the deception.
As the rising number of these Scams is gaining momentum, Avoid sharing any kind of personal details such as Aadhaar number or PAN details to anyone online to be safe from these types of Scams.
