Microsoft Corp. has invested a staggering $10 billion in OpenAI, the artificial intelligence lab responsible for creating the widely popular ChatGPT tool. This investment marks the third phase of the partnership between the two companies, with Microsoft having previously invested in OpenAI in 2019 and 2021.
Azure will be OpenAI's exclusive provider. OpenAI is known for its game-playing AI software, GPT-3 and Dall-E, both of which have received a great deal of attention from the AI research community.
